The vibrant local community of downtown New Milford is an integral part of the student experience. We allow our students to get lunch, shop at local businesses, take walks downtown, and utilize New Milford’s beautiful parks in between classes. Not only does this give our students a sense of independence in the context of a safe, walkable town, but the relationships they build with business owners and the town at large give them positive role models and instill in them a sense of civic responsibility.

By partnering with these independent businesses, our students have access to over 120 classes and mentorship programs.

Pratt Nature Center offers hiking, bird-watching, community garden plots, and nature education for all ages including programs tailor-made for the classroom or scout troop as well as for family or community enjoyment and learning.

Every student who signs up for our sports lab class receives a complimentary membership to The New Milford Fitness and Aquatic Club. There, they have access to gym equipment, the yoga studio, and the shower facilities.

SPECIALTY SCHOOLS

When a student signs up for a course at one of these schools, they can receive high school credit by providing proof of attendance and a statement from their teacher indicating what grade they should receive.
