Our administrative staff elevates communication and oversight, ensuring a safe, well-managed, and open environment for students and staff. All of our instructors are part-time, experts in their field, and work on-site with our students.

LOCKEY
Founder | Program Director
Lockey's nearly two decades of experience in education and passion for elevating those around her inspired the vibrant, supportive community she has created. Her six years as a hospital administrator have guided her through day-to-day operations and management, informing the groundwork laid to build Education without Walls from the ground up. THERESA
Director of Operations
Theresa, a master of paperwork, forms, and numbers, makes sure the business side of EWoW runs smoothly. Her expertise, ability to bend the time-space continuum, and commitment to excellent record-keeping have been a driving force behind our evolution. LINDSEY
Operations Manager
Lindsey manages our parent volunteers, our physical site, schedules, and, most importantly, keeps Lockey on task! When not at EWoW, she plays volleyball, raises chickens, and is a phenomenal dog trainer. The kids call her the Swiss Army Knife of EWoW. Lindsey joined EWoW in 2021. Hartwick College B.S. SHEA
Assistant Program Director
Shea handles the backend details that drive most people crazy with aplomb: accreditation compliance, registrar, college application mentor, website management, forms, and inter-institutional communication all fall under her purview. Shea is a proud EWoW alum, too! Outside of her work here, she is a prolific actress, director, and choreographer living in NYC. Shea has been a member of our staff since 2019. JENNIE

Jennie's 18 years of experience on Wall Street and her year of travel across the United States add depth and interest to the many subjects she teaches. Jennie is also an outstanding archery instructor, an absolutely fearless advocate for our students, and a caring mentor. EMMA
Language Arts Coordinator | College Counselor & Mentor | Executive Function Coach | I.S.P. Mentor
Emma is the Arts Section Editor and a freelance writer for the Greenwich Sentinel, where she covers arts and culture and mentors interns as they learn the craft of journalism. At EWoW, she teaches beginning and advanced language arts courses and works closely with students throughout the college process, helping them develop thoughtful essays that reflect their authentic voice. Emma believes great writing begins with curiosity and courage, and she loves guiding students as they discover their voice on the page. She joined the EWoW community in 2022. TAMARA

Tammy's passion for plants and health are absolutely infectious. Her military experience, decade-plus of teaching experience, and passion for education shine through when she works with our students in the field and in the classroom. Tammy is an outstanding project mentor and an excellent role model for our students. We are so fortunate to have her as the heart and soul of our science program. Tammy has worked for us since 2019. LEAH

Leah is thrilled to bring her passion for math to her students at EWoW! She is a detail-oriented, caring teacher and mentor. Leah is rarely seen without her sidekick, Bradley, the dog. She is an outdoor enthusiast, paddle-boarder, and all-around get-it-done, hyper-organized person. We are fortunate that she shares her huge smile and upbeat attitude with us every day! GLENN
Instructor: History, German, Italian, French & Philosophy
Glenn Sanchez comes to us from the Marvelwood School, where he continues to teach into his third decade. Glenn is a true Renaissance man, teaching a wide variety of languages and social science subjects. Glenn has served as a selectman in Kent, CT, volunteers prolifically, and always shows up for spirit week! He is an integral part of our community and has been at EWoW since 2022. TUCKER
Instructor: Advanced Math, Science, Computer Science & Music
Tucker graduated from Education without Walls Class of 2019. Since then, he has pursued degrees in Computer Science and Neuroscience. In addition to earning these degrees, he has self-produced one full-length album under the band name "In Luna's Garden". Tucker has been with EWoW since 2024. Sandy is a native Japanese speaker and a successful homeschool mother of two. Sandy has over a decade of teaching experience. She brings a ready smile and easy nature to her structured classes. Sandy joined our team in 2016. B.A. Computer Science

MÓNICA
Instructor: Spanish
Mónica is a native Puerto Rican who loves to share her native language with everyone! When not at EWoW, Mónica works at the Lannin House in Ridgefield, tutors her private clients, and spends time with her large family in Connecticut and in Puerto Rico. CAMPBELL
Instructor: East Asian Studies & Japanese
After graduating from EWoW in 2017, Campbell went on to study East Asian Studies, Computer Science, and Dance at Connecticut College, where she honed her skills and deepened her love of the Japanese language. Max brings their passion for the arts, drama, and the humanities into the classroom and wishes to impart that same passion onto their students. TYLER
Instructor: Journalism
Tyler is a New Milford native and self-described nerd with a love of graphic novels, creative writing, and storytelling in all its forms. At EWoW, he leads the student magazine program, guiding students through every stage of producing three magazines each year—from developing ideas and creating content to editing and layout. Tyler creates a collaborative classroom where conversation, group brainstorming, and student-led discussion help students reach their own unique goals as writers and creators. ANDREA

Andrea is a brilliant artist, instructor, mentor, and journaling enthusiast. When not teaching, she usually draws river weeds and makes books. Andrea is also an adjunct professor at WCSU and an instructor at our partner school, the Village Center for the Arts. Abby is a multi-disciplinary artist with experience in filmmaking, directing, screenwriting, visual art, cartoon drawing, animation, and stage management. Emma is a proud member of Education without Walls' Class of 2023, who has become an invaluable member of our staff. Her love of organization and excellent eye for interior design inform all of the work she does to keep our space cozy and welcoming. She is a wonderful mentor with a huge heart. We are so glad she has come back to join our team!

Chris is a proud EWoW alum who is bringing his credentials in media and journalism, along with his experience at ESPN, SNY, CBS, and WGNB TV 12, back to Education without Walls. MARY
Community Liaison
Mary, a former Olympic-level swimmer, began as a parent volunteer at EWoW in 2020. In the four years her son, Joseph, attended EWoW, her volunteer work became an integral part of the day-to-day operations at 65 Bridge Street. After Joseph graduated, we were honored to welcome her back as a staff member! Mary manages our community outreach efforts.

JOEL & HEIDI
MATICA ARTS
Instructor: Circus Arts
Heidi Kirchofer, is a mover, yogini, percussionist, fire artist, gardener, costume builder, momma and all around creative individual. Joel Melendez is known for his unicycling, clowning, juggling, improvisational, acrobatic and Capoeira skills. They are both on the Hartford Performs and Arts for Learning CT teaching artist rosters, and co-own Matica Arts and Thrive Movement Studio.

SHARON & JAYSON,
VILLAGE CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Instructor: Pottery
VCA’s Director, "Miss Sharon", has been teaching art for 32 years. Her personal love is the pottery wheel, with clay sculpture coming in a close second. Her philosophy of, "not doing the work for the children, but showing them on her own sculptural work", is the trait that has made her trusted and beloved by her 100's of students over the years. Sharon is a 13 cancer survivor.

Instructor, American Sign Language
Cheryl’s years of experience in education and passion for American Sign Language (ASL), along with the belief in the understanding of language, has guided her to EWoW. Prior to her experiences in the educational space Cheryl was involved with the creative and corporate spaces across the US, primarily in California and Texas, with a brief experience here in CT. She hopes to spread her passion for learning languages in all forms.

Physical Space & Mechanicals Management
Chris Coughlin has over 30 years of experience as a carpenter, draftsman, and residential construction project manager. He also takes time out of his busy schedule each year to teach the carpentry section of our Adulting 101 class. Chris has been with us since day one of EWoW.
